Paint Protection Film And Vinyl Wraps

1) What exactly is Paint Protection Film?
Paint Protection Film provides your vehicle with a shield against damage from rocks, gravel, salt, and insects, all through the application of a thin, nearly invisible film. At our shop, we use only Covrguard Paint Protection Film, which offers durability and clarity that outperforms anything else on the market. Covrguard PPF delivers exclusive protection for your vehicle’s paint, guarding against rock chips, scratches, and environmental wear while maintaining a seamless, invisible finish. Its advanced technology repels contaminants that typically stain or yellow conventional films, and its elastomeric clear coat naturally “heals” minor scratches and swirl marks over time. Please know that not all scratches or blemishes will heal themselves if they damage the protective top layer. With its self-healing capabilities and UV resistance, Covrguard PPF is the best choice for preserving your vehicle’s finish and enhancing its overall value.
Vinyl wrap involves covering a vehicle’s painted surfaces with a colored or printed vinyl film. This film adheres to the vehicle’s paint, enabling you to swiftly and temporarily alter its look and color, or to display advertisements on company cars. Because the wraps are applied on top of the paint and not actually painted, they can easily be stripped off. This feature is particularly handy when you want to revert your vehicle to its original state, perhaps to aid of its resale or when you need to return a leased vehicle.
In most cases paint protection film and vinyl wrap will not damage your factory paint or repainted areas. However, if your paint is chipping or panels of your vehicle have been repainted it is possible that the film may peel the paint or clear coat during install or removal. Since Protective Film Solutions cannot control how your vehicle was painted (new/factory or used), Protective Film Solutions is not responsible for any chipping or peeling of the painted surface during the install process or when the film is removed.

Our customers often praise our installations as the best in the business. We take pride in our work and are pleased to provide you with the highest-quality installation for your vehicle. Since the film is not painted, there may be some irregularities, such as very small dimples, minor tack marks, and seams in certain areas, to ensure a quality installation without lifting. We strive to minimize these issues, but it’s important to note that even the best installers in the industry may not be able to completely eliminate wrinkles, bubbles, or seams on sharp corners or concave areas of your vehicle.

One of the benefits of paint protection film and vinyl wraps is that most edges can be tucked and rolled behind lights, trim pieces, door handles, and other parts without needing to be removed. This allows us to cover over 99% of the exposed paint. However, to achieve this, we might need to remove some parts from your vehicle. For color change and printed vinyl wraps, we often take off items like door handles, mirrors, lights, and some bumpers to better cover the existing paint. Rest assured, all parts will be reinstalled correctly by our trained technicians, resulting in a more professional finish. Typically, we do NOT remove bumpers or headlights during a paint protection film install as it’s not necessary like it is for a color change wrap.
In most cases, we only need to move your vehicle in and out of the shop to inspect our work or take photos in natural light. Occasionally, if we’ve removed parts and need to ensure everything is reassembled properly, or to clear any warning lights, we may need to take your vehicle for a short drive. This helps us check for wind noise and rattles and allows the car’s computer to sync with any parts we’ve worked on. Please note that while moving your car around the shop or during these inspections, the odometer might tick over by a mile or two to three miles if we’re checking for any issues after part removal. This is an unavoidable part of the process.
During the installation process, the paint protection film may be placed and realigned on the painted panel multiple times. This can sometimes lead to paint peeling, especially on surfaces that have been repainted and aren’t original factory paint. In rare cases, it could even affect factory paint due to the strong adhesive used. If your vehicle has undergone any aftermarket repairs, such as repainting, dent repair, Bondo, or work on carbon fiber or fiberglass parts, it cannot be covered under warranty, and we cannot be held responsible for any damage to repainted surfaces during installation or later film removal. This also applies to the removal of any existing clear bra, emblems, or vinyl film that may need to be taken off for your installation. By proceeding, you agree to release us from any liability related to paint or clear coat peeling.

Care And Cleaning Instructions

1) We Recommend Low PH Soaps and Handwash only
2) Covrguard Paint Protection Film

Our general care instructions are:

1 – Wait 24 hours after installation to wash your car.
2 – Quickly remove insects or other stains that did not come off with your regular hand wash process
3 – Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 30 minutes at high temperatures In colder conditions, or to accelerate the process, pour warm water (120°F) over the affected area Or if you don’t feel comfortable with doing it yourself, please feel free to stop in and let us take care of it Please note that not all scratches will heal with heat if the top surface has been compromised Feel free to contact us if you have any questions (While Paint Protection Film self-heals, some damage is too extensive to self-heal and is part of the Paint Protection Film doing its job and is not a warranty issue.)

Please remember that your new vehicle wrap is a thin vinyl layer that can damage easily if not cared for properly. DO NOT WASH IN AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH – This will ruin your vinyl wrap immediately! We recommend using hand wash only on your wrap and never pressure wash any portion of your vehicle’s wrap, especially the edges or corners, as they will lift and peel. Be very careful not to get gasoline on your wrap. If you do immediately remove it and clean the affected area right away with a mild soap or a specialized wrap cleaning solution, chances are though that if you get gas on your wrap, it will stain – this is NOT covered under warranty Any harsh chemicals, bird droppings, dirt, tree sap, or cleaning agents can eat through the lamination or top coat and damage your wrap Please do not leave your vehicle in direct sunlight for extended periods as excessive sunlight can unevenly fade your wrap and dull its color (parking daily outside during work is fine; overnight uncovered is not recommended) if you leave your car outside uncovered overnight and there is dew or water droplets on your car, please wipe down immediately as these spots can stain your wrap…this is NOT covered under warranty Also, watch where you park, if your car gets sprayed with a lawn sprinkler, it will more than likely stain as water used on lawns has many more minerals in it than drinking water and will stain your car almost immediately – this is NOT covered under warranty Please stay away from mechanical carwashes because the high-pressure water and abrasive brushes will damage your wrap These are not areas that we cover under warranty so please use the proper care to avoid film detrition, fading or laminate failure No one wins when you have a poor-looking wrap, and we have an unhappy customer If you have any questions about caring for your new wrap, please feel free to contact us anytime, and we will be happy to help.

Window Tint And Windshield Protection

We specialize in providing window tinting services. Our advanced tinting technology uses a special combination of nano-ceramic materials, offering excellent heat rejection and clarity without the need for overly dark shades. Our tints block 99% of harmful UV rays, safeguarding you from skin damage, premature aging, and reducing interior fading, all while maintaining a cool and comfortable environment inside your vehicle.
1) How is my tint installed?
Window tint is shrunk to fit on the outside of your windows to conform to the natural curve of the glass and then is installed on the inside of the glass with it’s own adhesive.
You can use most window cleaners that are ammonia-free or plain water. Do not use any harsh abrasives, and do not put any stickers on the tint as it will damage the film upon removal. We recommend Sprayway Glass Cleaner
Please note that there might be a small amount of distortion or minor dust particles visible when looking through the windshield. This may not be noticeable in normal operation, but it’s something to be aware of. The degree of distortion can vary based on the car and individual tolerance. If you find the distortion too bothersome after installation, we can remove it at no charge, but please note that there will be no refund for the product.

The main reason for avoiding regular use of windshield wipers is that doing so increases the risk of scratching the film, especially when the wipers operate on a dirty windshield without rain or water. Despite this, many daily drivers still opt for this method. The trade-off is that not using the wipers reduces the likelihood of windshield chipping or cracking, which outweighs the potential for occasional scratching.

Another reason to avoid excessive use of windshield wipers is if your car is regularly parked outside and exposed to the sun. In such cases, the film may dry out prematurely due to constant sun exposure. It’s important to note that windshield film is not flawless and may have defects, which are considered normal as long as they don’t affect the direct line of vision while driving.

Paint Corrections And Ceramic Coatings

1) What is a Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings and why do I need it?

1- Paint correction is typically required before applying any ceramic coatings. This ensures that your vehicle’s surface is free of most scratches and minor paint imperfections.
2- Ceramic coatings provide an additional layer of protection to your vehicle’s clear coat or paint protection film, making cleaning and maintenance easier. It’s important to note that ceramic coatings are not the same as paint protection film; they consist of a layer of Sio2 (Titanium Dioxide) that bonds to the surface, offering another layer of protection from the elements.
3- We apply a combination of Ceramic Coatings from Gyeon Ceramic coatings (1, 4, and 8 s as well as Matte, Glass, and Wheel coatings) for installation over Covrguard Paint Protection Film.

1- Ceramic Coatings over paint require annual maintenance to ensure that the slick (hydrophobic) characteristics are refreshed. This is because the sacrificial layer degrades over a year. Please contact us on the 1st year anniversary of your installation to have your vehicle brought in for its “annual maintenance”. If the car is properly maintained, washed, and stored, the cost of the annual maintenance is $250 or more. If any additional work is needed, pricing will be determined upon seeing the car at drop-off.

2- NEVER run your ceramic coated vehicle through an automated car wash. The harsh chemicals used by the machines will damage the coating and cause micro-scratching if the car uses brushes or any other type of aide to remove dirt from the surfaces. Always hand wash your vehicle.

What Is My Warranty On These Products And Services?

coming soon
We give a one-year warranty on our installation of vinyl. This warranty does not extend coverage to damage caused by normal wear and tear, road debris impact (nicks in film from rocks or debris), accidents, collisions, hard water spots or intentional damage of any kind. Improper care and automatic car washes can void the warranty.
3) Window tint : need information
These are warrantied for the length of coating you choose. Improper care and automatic car washes can void the warranty. Losing hydrophobic properties does not mean the coating is no longer working, sometimes the coating’s pores can get clogged and it just needs a decontamination wash to free these pores back up. We can complete this for $250 and recommend this to be one time every 12-24 months. (check again the fee)
5) Ceramic coatings over paint protection film require annual maintenance to ensure that its slick (hydrophobic) characteristics are refreshed. This is because the coating degrades over a year and needs to be renewed. Please contact us on the 1st year anniversary of your installation to schedule your vehicle for its annual maintenance. The cost of the annual maintenance is $250, provided the car has been properly maintained, washed, and stored. If any additional work is needed, pricing will be determined upon seeing the car at the drop-off. (check the fee again)

A one-year manufacturer’s warranty covers delamination of the film but does not include pitting, chipping, cracking, or scratches from washing or windshield wipers. If the film becomes hazy or difficult to see through, please remove it at your own risk.

All repairs and warranty claims must be handled at our location. If you discover any defects or warranty issues with your wrap, please contact Inspire Detailing LLC by phone or email within 7 days so that we can promptly address the issue.

Inspire Detailing is not responsible for any paint issues (peeling or lifting) during the install process or when any film is removed at a later date. We understand that Inspire Detailing is not the manufacturer of the vehicle nor did they fix or repaint my vehicle so they couldn’t possibly know if there were any underlying issues with the paint – we understand that installing ANY film or vinyl on a vehicle has risks and I’m willing to accept all responsibility by having the work complete.

Please let us know if one of the following applies:
FINAL APPEARANCE: I understand that Paint Protection Films and Vinyl Wraps are not the same as paint and will not provide 100% coverage, but we aim for 99% coverage or more. Some imperfections in the material are unavoidable. Minor lifting on sharp curves or indentations, as well as around rivets, seams, edges, and even flat areas, may occur. Seams in the material are used to minimize bubbling and lifting as much as possible. (If you have any questions or concerns about how your vehicle will look when wrapped, please ask an Inspire Detailing LLC representative to show you examples of wrapped vehicles in our shop before proceeding with the installation so that you can fully understand what your finished vehicle may look like.) I have read the paint protection film warranty and disclosure agreement and agree to all the terms and conditions listed above. If you do not agree, please message us right away so we can address any concerns!
